New Hotel Promises Hamilton Investment

The Hamilton City Council commissioned a feasibility study into the matter, which uncovered a need for almost 500 extra hotel rooms across the next five years to keep up with demand.

The central site on Victoria Street was sold to Templeton Group. The project has pledged to transform the city, and open the conversation for further investment.

Hamilton business leaders believed that the city will become the next major region in New Zealand to attract international events and investment. The growth of the region could even surpass Wellington as a bigger city in the coming decades.
