Over 150 guests attended what Society Insider dubbed “the engagement party of the year.” Set within the red-and-gold interiors of Abstract, the evening featured immersive performances by The Dust Palace and The Brazilian Divas, live music by Josh Leys, and a culinary showcase by Alla Prossima Executive Chef Gabriele Marangoni.
Guests sipped Sensi Prosecco DOC and signature cocktails Sarisa (a Thai-inspired margarita) and the Nigel (a negroni twist) before indulging in hand-crafted Italian dishes and a show-stopping one-metre-wide tiramisu.

The evening was more than a celebration it was a reflection of global connection. The couple, who met at Auckland’s iconic Baduzzi, have spent years travelling between New Zealand, Italy, and Thailand exploring the world’s most acclaimed resorts and spas. Their shared experiences now inspire both McKenna’s architectural developments and Nasinprom’s award-winning Sa-Ni Luxury Wellness Spa, which recently earned three honours at the 2025 World Luxury Spa Awards.
A Taste of What’s Next
Looking ahead, McKenna and Nasinprom plan to wed at the Four Seasons Chiang Mai, a celebration expected to span multiple days and locations across northern Thailand. Guests will include family and friends from Ireland, England, Thailand, the U.S., and Europe a testament to the couple’s global network.

The evening also unveiled The Sarisa Rosé, produced at McKenna’s Central Otago vineyard. Created in collaboration with Master of Wine Sam Harrop, the label features entwined “S & N” initials a subtle symbol of the couple’s story.
Meanwhile, McKenna’s latest luxury destinations including Warkworth Ridge and Waikerikeri Station will soon house new Sa-Ni Wellness centres, merging property innovation with holistic wellbeing.
